NULL and VOID were conceived as two EPs that were companions to the Foetus album GASH, which was released on Columbia / Sony. The first EP, NULL, was released as a promotional-only item on CD and vinyl, and VOID was not released at all before the dissolution of Thirlwell's deal with Columbia / Sony. Later the two EPs were combined into this album. The album features "Verklemmt" and "Friend or Foe" from GASH plus many tracks unavailable elsewhere, as well as several remixes of "Verklemmt".It also features "See Dick Run" which originally appeared on the Spooky Songs For Kids EP and "Incesticide", previously a Reflex magazine flexidisc . Running time is 64:51

Floor-to-ceiling Boris ragers! It’s like they looked back on songs like Statement and Woman On the Screen and said “let’s do a whole album like that!” Most of these tracks don’t even pass 3 minutes! Zerkalo holds up the middle with some anguished doom. In the end, *NO* is as strong and declarative as it’s title. Brian Parker
